Boulder, Colo., November 29, 2012…. H+H Environmental Technologies (Hargesheim, Germany) has signed an agreement to supply four SCR emission control systems to reduce NOx and other emissions from four natural gas engines. The engines are central to a 25MW peak shaving power plant operated in Minnesota.

As part of the project, H+H will join with its North American affiliate, AeriNOx (Boulder, Colorado), to commission the SCR units and provide customer support, ensuring ultra-low emissions over long-term operation of the facility. According to Michael Heck, Managing Director of H+H, “Increasingly stringent regulations worldwide are driving a growing demand for emissions control systems in new power generation facilities. With our partner AeriNOx, we can now offer our North American customers the maintenance and engineering support that guarantee compliance with even the most challenging regulatory requirements.”

The emissions control systems supplied by H+H combine a high efficiency Oxidation Catalyst with a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) System to reduce NOx emissions by 92%, CO by 92%, and VOC by 70%, all while maintaining a 6.5 mg/Nm³ ammonia slip limit. The units will be installed in mid-2013.
“We are proud to be working with H+H, the engine manufacturer and customer on such an important project”, said Michael Readey, former President of AeriNOx. “Our customer has high expectations for its suppliers, and we are very excited to be part of the team.”
